IPCC Working Group III
For the Third Assessment Report, due by early 2001, Working Group III will consider the scientific, technical, environmental, economic and social aspects of the mitigation of climate change, and through a task group will assess the methodological aspects of cross-cutting issues such as equity, discount rates and decision-making frameworks.
Working Group I will remain devoted to scientific aspects of the global warming problem and Working Group II will now concentrate on vulnerability and impacts with emphasis on regional, sectoral and cross-sectoral issues.
