Masters Program in Climate Science and Policy
Columbia University's new one-year Masters Program in Climate Science and Policy trains professionals and academics to understand and manage climate risk. This rigorous program emphasizes the problems of developing societies. The program, now in its second year, is expanding its financial assistance opportunities. Email: climatesociety@ei.columbia.edu. Distant Internet Education (DIERET)
An activity of the International Network for Sustainable Energy (INFORSE). Course participation is free to member organizations or their individual members throughout Europe. In English with Russian and Albanian versions currently being devised. Dates: Ongoing

Earth Council Learning Centre
The Earth Council Learning Centre is the virtual campus of the Earth Council. Broad range of sustainable development courses, many on climate issues, available as well as access to numerable resources online. Includes newsletter and forum. Dates: Ongoing

MSc in Climate Change
46-week course organized by the Climatic Research Unit, School of Environmental Sciences, University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK, with contributions from the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research and the Centre for Social and Economic Research on the Global Environment. Taught by leading climate researchers, the course covers natural climate variability and anthropogenic climate change. You can download the course brochure (1.8Mb pdf). Location: Norwich, UK. Solar Energy International
Solar Energy International's Renewable Energy Education Program teaches the practical use of solar, wind and water power. Workshops give individuals the knowledge and skills to design, install and maintain renewable energy systems and to build state-of-the-art solar homes that are efficient, practical and earth friendly. Sustainable Energy Planning Program
Aalborg University offers a combination of relevant academic courses and problem-based semester projects. Students may choose between three options for participating in the program: a one-semester guest study with focus on the corporate and/or the regional perspective; a two-semester guest study including national and global Sustainable Energy Planning; or the full two-year master’s program in Sustainable Energy Planning.
