The Tiempo Climate Cyberlibrary was developed by Mick Kelly and Sarah Granich on behalf of the Stockholm Environment Institute and the International Institute for Environment and Development, with sponsorship from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency.

AREED: African Rural Energy Enterprise Development
Initiated by UNEP, AREED assists in developing new sustainable energy enterprises. Offers training, tools, start-up support, seed capital and partnerships with banks and NGOs involved in rural energy.

Asia-Pacific Partnership on Clean Development and Climate
Founding partners of the Asia-Pacific Partnership, Australia, China, India, Japan, Republic of Korea, and the United States, have agreed to work together and with private sector partners to meet goals for energy security, national air pollution reduction, and climate change in ways that promote sustainable economic growth and poverty reduction.

Cities in Climate Change Initiative

European Space Agency
The European Space Agency (ESA) is Europe's gateway to space. Its site contains links to various satellite activities in ESA's programmes. Global satellite maps include coverage of the Antarctic ozone hole, which is updated hourly, and other atmospheric conditions.

Global Forum on Oceans, Coasts, and Islands
The Global Forum on Oceans, Coasts, and Islands provides information on global developments related to oceans, coasts and Small Island Developing States, particularly activities aimed at achieving oceans-related targets from the World Summit on Sustainable Development and from the Millennium Development Goals through policy analyses, multi-stakeholder dialogues, working groups, roundtables and other approaches.

Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission
The Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission coordinates international scientific research on the world's oceans. The site contains details of current programmes, news and access to scientific expertise.

Partnerships for Sustainable Development
An online database of multi-stakeholder initiatives involving partnerships sharing knowledge and experience with the intent to promote and implement sustainable development practices.

SEA Fire Danger Rating System
Hosted by the Malaysian Meteorological Service, the Fire Danger Rating System monitors the risk of forest/vegetation fires across Southeast Asia (SEA).

South Centre

United Nations Environment Programme's Division of Technology, Industry and Economics encourages decision makers in government, local authorities and industry to develop and implement policies, strategies and practices that are cleaner and safer, make efficient use of natural resources, ensure environmentally-sound management of chemicals, reduce pollution and risks for humans and the environment, enable implementation of conventions and international agreements and incorporate environmental costs.

UNEP Finance
UNEP FI is a global partnership between UNEP and the financial sector, working to understand the impacts of environmental and social considerations on financial performance.

UNEP OzonAction Programme
The United Nations Environment Programme's OzonAction Programme runs an information exchange service containing technical and policy information related to protection of the stratospheric ozone layer.
